Why GW Bites?

I started GW Bites for two reasons.

First of all, I remember being a freshman in Thurston with no kitchen. I missed cooking and I got sick of eating J Street and Ivory and take-out and  more J Street. I craved fresh, healthy, and affordable home-cooked meals.

Second of all, I love to cook and bake. I’ve been in the kitchen cooking with my mom since I was little. She taught me what I know- including what I refer to as the “secret trifecta of ingredients”!

So I started thinking. If students (not just freshmen!) at GW are craving a home-cooked meal and I love to cook, why not capitalize on this awesome coincidence and build a bridge between the two? And GW Bites was born!
